100 Things

1. I'm 21.
2. I've lived in Wisconsin all my life.
3. I love animals.
4. My childhood dream was to be a vet.
5. That changed when I found you needed so much schooling.
6. Then I decided I wanted to do something with computers.
7. I'm one class and an essay away from a B.S. degree.
8. Majoring in computer science, minoring in information sciences.
9. I keep in touch with the part of me that wanted to be a vet by volunteering at the humane society.
10. I've volunteered at two humane societies.
11. I much prefer to volunteer at one, I plan to adopt from the other.
12. I've been told I have a natural talent for playing music.
13. I played flute in elementary and middle school.
14. I learned to play piano in middle school also.
15. I gave the flute back to my parents this year to sell.
16. I don't play piano 'cause it irritates my wrists.
17. I've had carpal tunnel syndrome, found at 16.
18. I've been tossing websites out for as long as I can remember.
19. One was successful, but got in the way of school.
20. I am presently a retail slave.
21. When I graduate I want to stay in Wisconsin.
22. I want to design and maintain software applications.
23. But I'm flexible.
24. The only college classes I have not appreciated at some point or another were Calculus and Linux programming.
25. I've tried a lot of crafts.
26. My current obsession is knitting.
27. I learned to knit in May of 2004 when I wanted something to take on a 2-day road trip with the family.
28. I like traveling.
29. I want to go to Alaska.
30. I'd settle for Utah.
31. ..the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, more specifially.
32. I like dogs and cats equally, but my parents insist they hate cats.
33. I have two brothers, I'm in the middle.
34. I will become an aunt in November.
35. People have started calling me Auntie Em already.
36. I hate the Wizard of Oz.
37. and ET.
38. I love Jim Carey.
39. and Sponge Bob.
40. And Adam Sandler.
41. Celebrities boggle my mind.
42. I like puzzles and brain teasers.
43. I can't wait to move out of my parents' home.
44. and adopt a kitty.
45. which my bird will probably hate.
46. I drive a Prizm.
47. It is green and dented.
48. It is my first car.
49. I commute, it has a number of miles.
50. I don't know what I want to drive next.
51. Perhaps a small truck.
52. My dad and I are very alike.
53. We fight often.
54. I scored 30 on the ACT test.
55. I love candy.
56. and food in general.
57. But I'm a vegetarian.
58. Read a book on factory farming and you may understand my decision.
59. Do not put a hamburger on my plate.
60. I will pretend I think you're funny, but you obviously have no idea how many people have done that before. So you're not original, but rather over done.
61. I hate asking questions and going to professors' offices.
62. I avoid contact with people when possible.
63. I don't know why.
64. I still eat eggs and cheese.
65. I know the contradictions, but it's a step, and I'm not ready to wither away yet.

68. People like to ask when I will.
69. Up until I met my LYSO, the only people who admired it were gross-looking old men.
70. I work in a store referred to as the "Man's Mall."
71. So I run into a lot of them.
72. I studied Spanish for 7 years.
73. I was raised in a Catholic home.
74. I attended Catholic grade, middle, and high schools.
75. I was confirmed, according to my parents' wishes.
76. I don't believe; my dad likes to call me an atheist.
77. I consider myself agnostic.
78. Some people do not understand the distinction.
79. According to most, I'm going to hell.
80. I don't believe in hell, and therefore don't believe I can "land" there.
81. I wish to be cremated.
82. Rotting people in caskets aren't attractive to me and they take up space.
83. If I die prematurely, I wish my organs be given to someone that can use them.
84. I'm stubborn.
85. I can be "blond" both in hair color and stereotypical behavior.
86. I like smelly bath stuff.
87. but I have uber-sensitive skin.
88. I have blue eyes.
89. I hate my feet, and feet in general.
90. I lost a number of pounds after high school.
91. and recently gained a couple.
92. I love Christmas.
93. Not for the gifts, but for the music, food, and general good will of so many people.
94. Working at a store smashes the "good will of people at Christmas" image.
95. I realize the contradiction between not believing in God and loving Christmas.
96. You can't stop me from liking Christmas.
97. I don't like Easter.
98. I like Halloween.
99. I like learning about other cultures.
100. I get along with my mom very well most of the time.
